What types of birds, mammals, and other critters are living on or near your property and what are their relationships
to the other vertebrates, vegetated habitats and soils?
UDM can provide two types of wildlife habitat assessments:
1) an assessment that relies chiefly on an inventory of the vegetative habitat types, soils, topography and surrounding
landuse. This type of assessment will result in a listing of wildlife species which may potentially utilize a site
based on there preference for a certain type of habitat.
2) a more detailed wildlife inventory includes everything in number one above and also significant time spent by
a UDM wildlife biologist censusing the wildlife populations on your property.
A simple definition of "Wildlife" is provided by the Journal of Wildlife Management in 1937 as the practical ecology of all vertebrates and their plant and animal associates.
