Environmental/Ecological mapping
UDM has the ability to provide mapping on a statewide basis for many types of resource areas. UDM can create specific
maps for agencies which are managing, regulating or studying specific ecological habitats such as forests, wetlands,
endangered species, anadromous fish runs etc. Accurate maps are created from a variety of sources including aerial
photographs, global positioning systems, field reconnaissance and standard survey techniques (please refer to Mapping
of Ecological Features for specifics on mapping techniques).
Database Creation and Maintenance Services
UDM is qualified to assess your environmental/ecological database needs. We can create and maintain some systems
or provide you with the expertise to set up and maintain your own database.
Landuse Planning and Regulations
UDM can assist regulatory and planning agencies by providing objective assessments of landuse practices and their
impact on the environment and how effective current laws are in achieving desired landuse practices.
